With its exemplary training concept, Kapsch has been working as a partner for many years with the AMS (Austrian employment market service).

  There is continuous work to introduce new aspects into the courses and content of training, undertaken in collaboration with the ÖGB (the Austrian trade unions confederation), the Arbeiterkammer (representative bodies for employees), the Wirtschaftskammer (representative bodies for employers), the Berufsschulen (vocational colleges) and the AMS. Working together, the aim is to establish a comprehensive training system. Here, too, we pursue the aim of always being 'one step ahead'.

The Kapsch Group – a company with national recognition for its training work

For a number of years, the Austrian Federal Minister for Economics and Labour has issued awards to training companies who achieve outstanding performance in their apprentice training. Under this scheme, Kapsch has been recognised and is the holder of an Austrian state seal of approval – the “Österreichisches Staatswappen”.

 

Kapsch is “amaZone”

At Kapsch, women of all ages are ‘always one step ahead’. Kapsch is a regular recipient of the “amaZone” award: an award for companies that demonstrate particular commitment to apprenticeship training of women of all ages in craft-based and technical trades. Behind the “amaZone” is the idea of convincing industrial and commercial companies of the idea that having more women in training is a win-win situation. Kapsch gets credit for “Best training companies – Fit for Future 2008”

Kapsch is fit for the future with its innovations – and so are the Kapsch apprentices. In 2008, Kapsch was given credit for the “Best training companies – Fit for Future”. This is awarded in recognition of the aim of promoting quality, innovation and sustainability in apprenticeship training.

In particular, this credit for “Best training companies – Fit for Future” is intended to:

• Send out a strong signal for the quality of training,
• Recognise the Austrian business sector for its outstanding work in the area of youth training,
• Contribute to securing new businesses for apprenticeship training, and
• Draw the attention of parents and young people to the quality of training in Austrian companies, and to the wide range of trades for which apprenticeships are offered.

 

Team-building

Games, fun, sports – and information, all at first hand: if you are starting an apprenticeship with Kapsch, you first travel to Ottenstein in the Waldviertel area of Lower Austria. There you get to meet the other apprentices, and the company gets to know you.

At the Kapsch apprentice days, in addition to the fun factor the main focus is on information about the company. The trainers in attendance give answers to a wide range of questions, for example who owns the company, what the individual subsidiaries within the Kapsch Group do, the role of the Works Council, working times, holidays and much more.
