Coffee as the fuel of IT

Nowadays many people start their day with a cup of coffee.
But why are we drinking coffee? Univ. Lect. Mag. Werner Gruber explains how caffeine affects us and which withdrawal syndromes coffee can cause.

Coffee is also a well known workplace-drug, for example in the IT-branch. It is even said that the programming language Java was named after the indonesian island of the same name, because the programmers drank much of the local coffee.

Univ. Prof. Dr. Heinz Oberhummer tells uns where the espresso comes from and why you are often served a glass of water to you coffee.

In a short experiment the Science Busters then explain how easily you can find out whether your own coffee-machine makes the perfect coffee.
