About the development path of technicians
After training in engineering sciences you are not bound to exclusively solving technical problems. Technicians do not have to stay on this path that most of them choose as their first professional one.
There are many development possibilities in other directions, which often only open up later, sometimes even years after entry into professional life.
It is always good to become what you actually already are, over the course of life; you could describe this as the everlasting life task of autonomous, self-reflecting people. How do you discover what you really are? Now, you use every chance and opportunity that are presented to you and above all give yourself the time that is needed to find such opportunities. It is not necessary for the path to be clearly visible in front of you right from the beginning. In truth this is only the case for very few people, and any help that is offered should be welcome. The path can and should develop.
As in the course of education, success in company careers is not only a question of career design, but also a question of chances and the recognition of these chances, and finally a question of environment, which offers you such chances or not.
It is not the shortest study duration but the best used that is the most valuable. The time used for self-education will later be the most important requirement for happiness and success, in light of diverse challenges, which we can not guess when we are at university or in the company, at the time of starting studying or entry into professional life and which will actually occur in a few years. The width of our educational horizons is the reason for the diversity of possible uses.
